Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Server Assembler to join a client in Milpitas. This is a temp to hire position. The position is 100% onsite. Hours for the role are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

The Server Assembler is responsible for assembling, configuring, and testing server hardware components according to established specifications and quality standards. This role ensures that all servers meet performance requirements and are prepared for deployment in data centers or customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble server systems, including motherboards, processors, memory, storage devices, and peripheral components.
  • Perform wiring, cabling, and component installation following technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Conduct functional tests and quality checks to verify system performance and compliance with standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, reporting defects or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, test results, and inventory usage.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve assembly processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and server architecture.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small components.
  • Experience with hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move components up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive hand movements during assembly tasks.
